Abstract
Hepatitis C virus (HCV) is a major public health problem and a leading cause of chronic liver disease. Telaprevir is a protease inhibitor used to treat chronic hepatitis C in combination with Peg-interferon (IFN)-α2a+ribavirin (PR) (1); however, it has numerous side effects (2).
